Drug Name : Meperidine
Indications : Meperidineis a synthetic nacrotic drug.
Physiology :  Meperidine is a synthetic morpine like compound used in the management of moderate to severe pain and acts as an adjunct to anesthesia and preoperative sedation.
Normal Values : Negative
Test Method : Thin layer chromatography, High performance chromatography, Gas chromatography
Side effects : Adverse effects of meperidine are tachycardia, CNS and respiratory depression, nausea & vomiting, hypotension, miosis, physical and psychological dependence.
